Fighters Review was started simply as a note book based around my own collection of fighting instructional DVDs and Videos.
When I purchased an instructional I would proceed to drill the techniques in sparring situations and note down what worked and what did not.
Being a Mixed Martial Arts competitor this became extremely important to myself. Using non effective techniques in the ring is a short cut to the local hospital, so I had to be thorough with all my research, drilling and sparring.
My theory was that if I couldn't pull off a technique within a month of drilling and training the move, then it would never work in a real fight.
So many martial arts have a tendency to over complicate fighting. Techniques should be basic and easy to use in extremely high stress situations, where the brain is in a very primal mode. If you've ever been in a car accident or any other life threatening situation then you know what I'm talking about. The thought process becomes very simple indeed. When fighting in the ring you look back at the post fight video and see so many holes, techniques that you could have used. Once the bell rings so many moves go out the door. So the bottom line is keep the moves simple and drill them over and over again until they are second nature.
So the products on this site have been well used and tested. Some are total crap, others are literally champion products. Feel free to share your own thoughts on my comments. My thoughts are only my opinions so don't be offended by what I say, give these techniques and products a spin at your local club/training environment, and share your thoughts here as well.
I feel that collectively we can improve fight products with our comments and ideas.
